Supporting FLOAK

Donations to our wild and wacky fundraising projects are always welcomed as this gives us the capital to move forward with development costs at our projects.  Many FLOAK members have signed up for weird and wonderful physical challenges, such as Mark Gardner and Jarlath O’Hara’s 7 Marathons in 7 Days mission in April 2009.  Crazy, but it’s hoped that £15,000 can be generated here to help nudge down the £20,000 target and inject urgent funds into our plans. Every penny that YOU donate - or raise through a personal venture for FLOAK - will reduce our £20,000 target and enable us to complete the project as quickly as possible.

How else can I contribute?
This is entirely up to you.  By spreading the FLOAK message to a group of friends you are contributing.  You may have skills in a particular key area – such as web design – and volunteering to maintain this website may incur 5-10 hours of skilled contribution.  Whatever your skill, we are grateful of your time to help us meet our goals.  We are working on a list of skill sets and will advertise this in due course.  It is hoped that once a contribution has been made, another volunteer can step in to continue that same role for the same duration of time.  Our positions, like many of our projects, are designed to be sustainable and manageable and it is this ethos that will be taken to all areas of FLOAK.

Floak Fundraiser!
Two fundraisers are planned for Spring and Summer 2009, as follows:

1.  Mark Gardner and Jarlath O'Hara's 7 Marathons in 7 Days post-event party in London on Sunday 26th April 2009 @ Thomas Doggetts Bar, next to Blackfriar's Bridge (www.doggettscoatandbadge.co.uk)  Doors open 13:00h.

2.  Floak Midsummer Ball, organised by Floak Fundraiser, Liz Thornton.  This event will also be held in London on the August bank holiday weekend with further details released in due course.  You're all invited so watch this space!

We are also seeking Trustees for our charity and have been humbled by the interest so far from our friends.  If you would like to become an integral part of this charity we would love to hear from you!
